Presentation of "le banquier et le citoyen" in London

This September signifies 11 years since the bankruptcy of the giant Lehman Brothers and the ensuing subprime crisis, which spread to the whole economy. This leaves ourselves to ask where are the risks that could lead to the next financial crisis. Do we have in place the mechanisms at the European level to prevent against these?

Michael Vincent details for us in his book "le banquier et le citoyen" ("the banker and the citizen") published by Fondation Jean Jaurès and the FEPS, the crises which hit Europe over the past 10 years - subprimes, Greece, Brexit - through testimonials and anecdotes that help us to understand the mechanics of the finance machine.

Finance is too serious a topic to be left solely to bankers, jurists and economists: this meeting with the author welcomes those who want to inform themselves about the crises of yesterday and those which might unfold tomorrow. We invite you to join us at the European Bookshop of London (Gloucester Road) on Monday 30th September, at 7pm.
