Opinion polls suggest that the ANC will win comfortably the upcoming regional and national elections in South Africa, to be held on May 8th. It remains to be seen if he will then be strong enough to lead the party according to his own agenda and to secure the removal and conviction of leading ANC comrades for corruption.
