Migration: African perspectives

February 18, 2020

Why do migrants make the difficult decision to leave their countries, homes and families to come and work in Europe? What pushes them? What motives are so compelling to be stronger than the dangers and risks they often meet during their journey? And what measures can be taken to address in an effective and humane way the so-called root causes? The study "Migration: African perspectives" aims to search answers to the above-mentioned questions by means of a research on the field conducted in Ghana and Tunisia, as well as with interviews and workshops, and with the invaluable support and insight of African diasporas in the Netherlands.
